Inpatient Wards are located adjacent to the Pediatric Intensive Care Units. Admitted patients are seen daily by the attending and staff physicians as well as the Hemato-Oncology nurses and staff specialists. Inpatient wards are state-of-the-art diagnostic and treatment facilities. The rooms are special units that enable strict isolation and contain the equipment for positive pressure and air filtration through HEPA filters. Together with the assistance of all the pediatric sub-specialists, staffs are expressly trained to meet the special needs of patients and their families. Emergency services are provided 24/7 by on-call and duty physicians. Patients undergoing aggressive chemotherapy treatments are cared in the adjacent Pediatric Intensive Care Unit, also containing two special isolation rooms with the appropriate equipment and conditions for the special patients' needs.
