Specialty Robotic Surgery Service
The Surgical Robotics Service offers world-class oncology care and minimally invasive
surgery with the new da Vinci Xi Surgical System.
The da Vinci Xi Robot allows the surgeon to perform precise laparoscopic procedures –
refining and perfecting the movements of the human hand. This accuracy enables
surgical oncologists to better target diseased areas while preserving healthy ones. In
prostate surgery, this allows more exact removal of cancerous tissue, sparing areas
that control sexual and urinary function.
